Hi everyone. Please don’t scroll but read this and give your best input. I’m not asking for money yet.

i made 2 reddit posts about this under the chicagoapartments subreddit i wanna put this here too: My roommates and i are dealing with a shitty property management company. it’s been a week of our bathroom ceiling leaking and slowly caving in before they finally came to tear it out but we have no eta on when they’ll actually fix it. they said they will replace the bathtub upstairs to fix it before closing the ceiling but haven’t given any coordination or eta on when.

we’ve put in maintenance requests for months and when they finally do something big we’re left with dirt and debris dripping into our bathroom tub and we have a mold test running. we don’t have a way to bathe or anything like that and we’re stuck with a slow and incompetent management company.

how do we actually progress through this?

we’re renting from first western properties by the way. chicago illinois

Gerne #teilen bzw #boosten!

So last week Arch Linux on my desktop started freezing during resuming from #hibernation.

My attempts at fixing that have only made it freeze while entering hibernation as well.

I did manage to get suspend to RAM working though, which is better than nothing, but won't cut it for me.

Having no hibernation is gonna wreck my workflow.

I am dual booting and hibernation allows me to make that work.

It's old, but I only discovered it today
Is that real?

Hello Masto !

I'm desperately looking for a game that is at least ten years old, all text. It starts with "You're Nothing" then, after a click and a loading time, "You've got Life" and from there, a whole bunch of choices are offered to the player: earn money, knowledge, etc. Except that, little by little, the choices diminish. Does that ring a bell to anybody?

🔄 Please boost !

Hello Masto !

So roughly once a week nowadays, Firefox on Ubuntu 24.04.2 LTS just stops responding to all keyboard input. I haven't found anything I can do at this point besides killing it and restarting it. I haven't observed any obvious commonality to the failures.

Any suggestions on how to fix (or just debug) this? Would jumping through the hoops to migrate from snap to the deb packages that Mozilla releases possibly fix this or make it easier to debug?
