Job Description: The CIAM Experiences team is responsible for the mobile and web surfaces of user login, multi-factor authentication, step-up authentication, session management and account security across all of Square's products.As an Android engineer on the team you will have a key role in designing, building, and improving our existing experiences in these areas across our Android mobile applications. This includes our flagship products Point of Sale, Square Register, Square Terminal, Square for Restaurants, Square for Retail, Square Appointments, Square Invoices, Square Payroll, Square Team.Working on Android at Square is a unique opportunity in the mobile industry – you’ll get to work in one of the largest most established mobile ecosystems in existence – learning a lot from our large team of Android engineers in the process. As a member of the team, you will:* Help design, build, and maintain Square's Login and Session Management across all of Square's Android applications.
* Collaborate on creating the Android Auth SDK to enable seamless session management across all devices.
* Integrate customer feedback and partner with product managers to improve our products.
Qualifications: You have:* 2+ years of experience in Software development skills and computer science fundamentals
* Be proficient in Kotlin and/or Java for development
* Work with product managers and designers to refine and determine product scope.

Additional Information: Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S. locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
Zone A: USD $152,100 - USD $185,900
Zone B: USD $144,500 - USD $176,700
Zone C: USD $136,900 - USD $167,300
