I was on a FB page reading an explanation from a small wool company in the UK who has put a halt to shipping to the US (wholesale and web site orders) until they understand the impact of the tariffs on the price of a skein of wool in the US stores.

MAGA to the rescue!

They told the wool company to pay the tariff and to eliminate the VAT and there would be no increase to the consumer In the US.

Made a major mistake while #knitting lace, and I fixed it! Figured out how to ladder down to a lifeline and then knit it back up on double pointed needles. Feeling mighty proud of myself. @knitting #knit #fiberArts

After socks, spring knitting!
One finished, the second one well underway. Made of cotton and bamboo, it's light and supple, just how I like it!
(I still have one pair of socks on the way, and one ordered to make! Phew! I'd miss it otherwise!)

Last update for now. March was once again two squares, both fortunately relatively easy so I was able to finish them long before the end of the month despite February's being evil. I'm really enjoying this KAL and can't wait to see how the blanket turns out.

I'm ahead because I've already finished April's pair in the Secret-Stash-Busting Sock Along. The yarn is Sweatheart by Jokamamo Textiles with plain pink toes/heels/cuffs.

Going to start another pair.

A less boring day today but that's what lunch time is for.

The February pattern for the KAL was one square....That had to be repeated 6 times with different color combinations. I didn't finish them all until mid March because, despite how simple and easy it was, I had to restart the first square 3 times. I'm glad I'm done with the stupid things but maybe should have done what a few of the others are doing and spreading them out over the rest of the year.

My current project is a hooded shawl. I finished the shawl part and I'm wet blocking it while I start working on the hood. I hope it will turn out all right

Bored at work so minor update! I joined a mystery knit along blanket and I've been meaning to post about it but.... Meh.

Each month they send us 1-2 patterns to knit and at the end of the year we'll join them all together to get rather unique blankets.

Learning is a process.

These fingerless gloves were my first knitting project. I worked them flat and sewed the sides while leaving a gap for the thumb hold. They're not very fancy and they might not be perfect, but I still love to wear them when I'm playing games on my computer since my hands get cold really easily.
