2010. When I played a scarface #Asian mafia boss lady on a horror film short production. Filmed at the old Hung Fat #kungfu club in Chinatown. Gentrification got their longtime, oldest kungfu association in BC, evicted a few years ago.

Gloria Tsoi, pictured with me, owns & runs the kung-fu club - passed down from ancestors. We've been friends since the 90s.

☝️ok I've got some chuff to spark this. This Monkey King series is a strange, funny, playful, absurd long arc story that I and a few others will be filling some couch time with.

Feeling the chronic tension starting to leave my body as I wind down from an entire life of survival mode is an interesting thing.
Qigong, meditation, and kung fu are all playing parts in this combined with a severing of relationships in which I have been the caregiver for far too long has created this space to relax a little.

I don't know where all this is going but I feel the tiniest bit hopeful.
