Doug Baker - Elbows Up!<p><a href="https://mstdn.ca/tags/Nissan" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Nissan</span></a> has sent me 3 notices now, over a period of 18+ months, for a recall. It's for a "software update" to correct a problem with Level 3 ("fast") ChaDeMo charging. Apparently there's a risk of fire. So...18 months, 3 notices, and every time I check "not ready yet...delivery...(pick a date)". Luckily, I don't use Level 3 on my <a href="https://mstdn.ca/tags/Leaf" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Leaf</span></a> very often. But: does that sound like a responsible auto manufacturer, truly concerned with safety? It's a SOFTWARE issue. Maybe we need a teenage hacker on the job?</p>
