Is it just me or are my LED bulbs going out now just as fast as my old incandescent bulbs? It felt like when I first started using them that they seemingly lasted forever. Are they building in obsolescence or am I crazy?

So, it seems that you can plait noodles and brake cables 
Shortens the length of the LED quite a bit, and gives it an interesting wavy pattern. A little tricky to get a tight weave on the plait given the difference in strength/flexibility of the brake cable versus the noodle.
Today's task: find out if you can plait LED noodles with old gear/brake cables.
First off, I need to dismantle the last quick LED noodle experiment, my quick-and-dirty rear bike arrow.
My python code sends data out of the serial port if Teams is On a call and sends nothing otherwise.
The circuit turns the LED red when it sees pulses and leaves it red for a second or so. As long as it gets serial data once a second or so the LED stays on. If anything goes wrong it goes off

Made a little video of us polishing up this collaborative, We Are Magic sculpture for two upcoming traveling exhibitions. We are, Alicia Eggert, James Akers (myself), Jason Mishou, and Marco Buongiorno Nardelli. The four of us met at Alicia's studio in Denton, Texas to work all in the same room. Its actually the first time we have all met up, and its been a real treat!
Maybe you don't get the sense in the video, but there are numerous instances of feeling like it cannot crescendo any more, and it still does- until it climaxes, generating a barrage of blinky lights and generative vowel soungs.
The installation is activated by touching the hand pedestal, and holding hands with someone else touching the other hand pedestal. Each time the sculpture is activated it looks and sounds different.
