Oh there is <a href="https://digitalcourage.social/tags/Hydrogen" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Hydrogen</span></a> <a href="https://digitalcourage.social/tags/DrumSampler" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>DrumSampler</span></a> on my <a href="https://digitalcourage.social/tags/Linux" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Linux</span></a> system!</p><p>Oh *beep*, most drum kits don't work and I don't know why but I don't wont to figure that out now.</p><p>Managed to patch Hydrogen MIDI to my outboard synthesizer. Now how to send MIDI Clock? Oh Hydrogen cannot send MIDI clock. </p><p>I need jack_midi_clock to get MIDI Clock from the general Jack Transport. Installing.</p><p>Okay now I'm in GMIDImonitor to find out the jack_midi_clock does not send any MIDI Clock, at least not on my system of <a href="https://digitalcourage.social/tags/Pipewire" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Pipewire</span></a> + <a href="https://digitalcourage.social/tags/Jack" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Jack</span></a>. Or perhaps it does but I can't see, since the synth's arpeggiator stops when transport plays and continues playing when transport stops.</p><p>This is getting weird.</p><p>Now I have lost my idea for the drum pattern, so I'm giving up on making music for today. Time is very limited anyways.</p>
kel<p>Linux Audio wizards!</p><p>I have two sound cards:</p><p>One internal to the computer that sends sounds out through my monitor which I use for day to day beeps and boops - alerts! The volume is nice I ilke it!</p><p>One external for music from a specific application.</p><p>The problem is, when I have the audio set up to the external sound card, all the notifications go through it too - argh!!</p><p>Got it: pavucontrol! ✅ </p><p>All sorted 👍 </p><p>Thank you! 🙏 </p><p><a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/linuxaudio" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>linuxaudio</span></a></p>

I don't have any direct experience recently with interfaces with a small channel count, so maybe one of the <a href="https://io.waxandleather.com/tags/LinuxAudio" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>LinuxAudio</span></a> people will weigh in, but I know that many of the focusrite interfaces have a good reputation for playing nice with Linux.</p>
Mistress Remilia<p>Got the final chip emulator ported to SatouSynth from YunoSynth: the YM2413 (aka VRC7). So now the two libraries have the same chips implemented, one in <a href="https://xn--nanako--c83f6n.mooo.com/tags/CommonLisp" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#CommonLisp</a>, one in <a href="https://xn--nanako--c83f6n.mooo.com/tags/CrystalLang" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#CrystalLang</a>. SatouSynth (the <a href="https://xn--nanako--c83f6n.mooo.com/tags/lisp" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#lisp</a><span> one) is just slightly ahead in terms of functionality since I didn't back-port VGM seeking into YunoSynth yet, but I will soon, probably in a day or two.<br><br>This also means </span><a href="https://xn--nanako--c83f6n.mooo.com/tags/benben" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#benben</a><span> is now much closer to a v0.7.0 release. Just gotta fix up some unimplemented command line arguments, then finish the milestone for v0.7.0 (just one item left), then just do a thorough round of testing.<br><br>Testing will be a bit longer this time since the whole program was rewritten from scratch in Common Lisp, so I want to make sure everything is just right. I'll of course post new development AppImages as I go.<br><br>So my guess? Benben v0.7.0 will be out this fall.<br><br></span><a href="https://xn--nanako--c83f6n.mooo.com/tags/LinuxAudio" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#LinuxAudio</a></p>
