"1979" is a song by American #alternativeRock band #theSmashingPumpkins. It was released in 1996 as the second single from their third studio album, #MellonCollieAndTheInfiniteSadness. "1979" was written by frontman #BillyCorgan, and features #loops and #samples uncharacteristic of previous Smashing Pumpkins songs. The song foreshadows the #synthpop sound the band would embrace more openly on Adore and its tracks "#AvaAdore" and "#Perfect".

I like #Pixelfed and #Loops, but I am annoyed that both mobile apps look so similar to their counterparts. Seriously, before looking at the title at the top my friends thought I had gotten Insta. And loops (although I'm not a fan of short form vids I test it out) UI looks very similar to what I've seen of Tiktok and Reels. Just saying. And they use the same icon sets.
The Pixelfed mobile app is also very slow on Android, luckily there is a better app #Pixelix.
