Ewen Bell 📸This vignette of geology and flora is quintessential to my Kimberley experience. The sandstone is so ancient, the remnants of former uplift now weathered down to a thin layer. Big rocks become small rocks. Small rocks become sand. The cranes are flying back from their winter quarters. ℹ️The crane (Grus grus) belongs to the same family. It is 130 cm long and has a wingspan of 245 cm. Its diet includes both animals and plants.
