Wellfotos🗨️🇬🇧 🪲 Large pine weevil 🇫🇮 I was waiting for the great spotted woodpecker to make his presence known, but suddenly the beetle was right next to me. I quickly changed the lens and missed the woodpecker for this pile shot 😉. ℹ️ The spruce bark beetle (Hylobius abietis) grows up to 1.4 cm long and is mainly found in coniferous forests. 🗨️🇩🇪 🪲 Fichtenrüsselkäfer 🇫🇮 Eigentlich hab ich den Buntspecht aufgelauert, der sich bereits durch Laute bemerkbar machte, aber auf einmal war der Käfer neben mir. Wellfotos🗨️🇬🇧 🪰 robber fly 🇩🇪 ℹ️ The common robber fly grows up to 18 mm long and is the most common robber fly in Germany. It feeds on flies, grasshoppers and small bees. It takes its prey from a perch (usually a leaf). 📖 I went through my archives. Since I couldn't figure out which robber fly it was, I never posted the picture. I waited at this spot for half an hour because I had a wedding photo shoot after this one. 🗨️🇩🇪 🪰 gemeine Raubfliege 🇩🇪 ℹ️ Die gemeine Raubfliege wird bis zu 18 mm lang und ist die häufigste Raubfliege Deutschlands. Sie ernährt sich u.a. von Fliegen, Heuschrecken und kleine Bienen. Die Beute holt sie sich von einem Ansitz (zumeist ein Blatt). 📖 Mal mein Archiv durchforstet. Da ich nicht herausgefunden habe, welche Raubfliege das ist, hab ich das Bild nie gepostet. It is found along coastlines. 🗨️🇩🇪 🐦 Sandregenpfeifer 🇫🇮 ℹ️ Der Sandregenpfeifer (Charadrius hiaticula) wird 20 cm groß und hat eine Spannweite von 55 cm. Er ist ein flinker Vogel, der schnell über den Boden läuft. Er kommt an Küsten vor. ⚠️ Der NABU führt ihn in der vorletzten Gefährdungsstufe. Wellfotos🗨️🇬🇧 🏞️⏳ Waterfall longtimeexposure (Hepoköngäs) 🇫🇮 📖It took longer than expected to take this photo because the water was splashing so much that my filter was constantly full of drops. So the photos were blurry. I had to find a position and a time when I could take the photo, as well as a shutter speed that matched the splashes. 🗨️🇩🇪 🏞️⏳ Wasserfall-Langzeitbelichtung (Hepoköngäs) 🇫🇮 📖Für dieses Foto habe ich länger gebraucht als gedacht, da das Wasser so stark gespritzt hat, dass mein Filter ständig voller Tropfen war. Somit waren die Fotos verschwommen. I used Photoshop to stitch them together into a single image on my PC. ℹ️ The rose chafer (Cetonia aurata) grows up to 20 mm long and is found on flowers (e.g. roses). It belongs to the horned leaf beetles and is a protected species. 🏆 In 2000, the rose chafer was voted insect of the year in Germany. 🗨️🇩🇪 🪲 Goldgläzender Rosenkäfer 🇩🇪 📖 Dieses Foto ist mit Focus-Stacking aus 79 Einzelbildern entstanden. It is about the same size as a Mute Swan, but its bill resembles that of the much smaller Bewick's Swan. Ich hatte meine Kamera im Auto auf den Schoß, sodass ich direkt einsatzbereit war. ℹ️ Der Feldhase ist in der Dämmerung und in der Nacht zu beobachten. Er wird bis zu 68 cm hoch und wiegt bis zu 5 kg.
