Perfect landing.
A bee genus Megachile (if I am not mistaken) lands on a flower Asclepias curassavica.
iPhone 15 Pro main camera + homemade macro lens for close focusing.
Una abeja género megachile (si no me equivoco) atteriza sobre una flor de Asclepias curassavica.
Eine Biene der Gattung Megachile (wenn ich mich nicht irre) landet auf einer Blüte von Asclepias curassavica.

Dorcus parallelipipedus, Horned Beetle. On the palm of the hand of a brave little girl who picked up this beast in the woods so I could take a photo.

Celebrating #FungiFriday with officially the teeniest mushroom I've photographed; I'm still pretty new to real macro photography and it's proven to be quite the challenge, particularly on film, but wow is it satisfying when the effort pays off!
Spotted this honey bee taking a brief rest this afternoon – when the Sun came out from behind the clouds, it flew off & back to work

Hiking deep into the wilderness earlier this week, we saw many dead trees in the forest that were untouched by humans. Some of the trees, whether they were still standing or already lying on the ground, had beautiful mushrooms growing on them. Here are a few examples. #FungiFriday #mushrooms
And as the garden wasn't entirely free of insects, here's a bonus #BugOfTheDay.
My best guess is that it's a privet leafhopper (Fieberiella florii), but I'm open to corrections.
I only grabbed a quick picture before it, umm, hopped away, & the depth of field isn't great.
But it captures the lovely orange, white, & black striped compound eye nicely, along with texture around the head, so it's worth posting

A bit of a mystery for today's #BugOfTheDay
I'd given up on finding many insects in the garden today, as it was fairly cold. So I decided to take a picture of this pretty peach-leaved bellflower (Campanula persicifolia), only to discover a rather lethargic bee cosied up inside
I suspect that it's a mining bee of the Andrena genus, but can anyone identify it more specifically?

Here's an older one that also looked good in black & white.
