I've written down the steps to #encrypt your existing #email and import it into Mailbox.org (but it should work for other providers as well), in order to have a zero-knowledge encrypted #mailbox:

https://kedara.eu/encrypting-old-emails

It took a lot of effort to figure everything out, so I hope it'll save you some time. If you have any feedback after reading the article, please let me know.

Dites, est ce que vous connaitriez des chatons mail cools hébergés en France (région Bretagne est mieux mais ok ailleurs) qui acceptent les personnes précaires ne pouvant pas soutenir financièrement ?

The BIG MAIL operators disappear valid mail. We have all seen it happen.

I am pondering starting a campaign to collect war stories with as much log data and other relevant data as possible in order to write an article which may evolve into something else.

If you have potentially useful input, I want to hear from you.

I'm testing mailbox.org as a private mail service. Currently, I'm using Tuta, which is great, but I really miss the ability to use custom email clients via IMAP and can settle for a bit less security.

I've generated #PGP keys on my own and have only imported the public key into "mail guard" and "inbox guard". From my testing, incoming (unencrypted) mails are indeed automatically encrypted with my public key.

But two things are not yet fully clear to me:

1. Is it possible to search the (encrypted) body text using #Thunderbird? If not, what other program could you recommend for Linux (and possibly android)?

2. All received mail is encrypted using my public key by mailbox.org as soon as they've received it. Is it possible to do the same for the copy in the "Sent" folder, for mails that are otherwise sent unencrypted?

I hope there are #mailbox.org users or other PGP veterans here, who are willing to help me out 😊

Australia Post provides banking services, doesn't it? Not sure what the fuss is. I haven't been inside a bank branch in years.

Same with the cost of postage stamps and the frequency of letter delivery. Who needs to send a letter nowadays? All the letters I receive are junk mail.
