I decided to try watering my #orchids the way the guides say so I dumped the pot in a container of water.
While they were soaking up the moisture I noticed tiny creatures scuttling about on the water surface…
So I grabbed the #macro lens, as you do
The first one was no more than 2mm long and the second was significantly smaller - 1mm or less

These #microscopic crystal images were taken by my father. Dissolve Vitamin C in water, put a drop on the slide, wait for evaporation and photograph what remains. Very simple steps, but the results are (to me) endlessly varied and beautiful.
