»Escapism 5000«

This machine can influence reality in such a way that all problems disappear. The Escapism 5000 offers various functions and parameters. Depending on your needs, the number of problems can be continuously minimized and your environment can be maximally improved. It is light, compact and fits in every pocket. No training or previous knowledge required.

Earlier this year, I had the occasion to design a new logo for the video sharing app @loops 😊

Turning the play symbol into a Möbius strip-like design reintroduces the notion of “loop” into the icon. I also created several animated versions, playing with the infinite construction of the design, for various uses such as loading screens and video idents.

Thanks @dansup for your trust! You can go try the app here: loops.video

Friction Quick Tip #12 - Path Operations

In Friction, you can combine different path through path operations. They are also known as boolean operations.

Do you know @friction ? It is an awesome open source 2d animation software, early stage, which could replace #aftereffect

This may be a dumb question, but I'm still looking for ways to use #blender as an #adobe #aftereffects replacement, however I'm always frustrated with how overly complicated it is to do things like keyframing the opacity, as you'd do for 2.5 animation of text and images.

**Edit - It does exist!! blendermarket.com/products/alp but should be included by default IMHO

Is anyone aware of any addons that could do this?

I'm on the never ending search to replace #adobe from my life and looking into #glaxnimate which recently joined the #kde family. docs.glaxnimate.org/en/

It looks very promising, especially the fact that it can be used with #kdenlive with a sort of "dynamic link" like between #premiere and #AE

Sadly in the version I'm using the timeline doesn't even appear. Is there a way to reset it to default? #askfedi #motiondesign #motiongraphics #aftereffects
