In small victories at the community garden, one of the guys who always uses black plastic has now adopted cardboard and mulch. Looks like several others are doing same. I'm going to credit all my annoying, passive-aggressive comments on garden's Facebook page. #CommunityGarden #GrowYourOwn #plastic #cardboard #mulch #garden #allotment #weeds
Very much a hands off approach this year so far. We are having one of our (if not the) driest springs ever but the flowering perennials are doing great. #Allotment #GrowYourOwn #Permaculture #NoDig #PollinatorPlants #Mulch
Helpful website discussing pH of pine needle mulch. It does not make soil acidic. #mulch #gardening #weeds #allotment #garden #soil #dirt #blueberries #pine https://www.wineboxgardener.com/home/2016/5/29/pine-needle-mulch-for-blueberries
I'm using pine needles for paths at the community garden. Free, but I also love the look, the smell, and even the crunch they make as you walk on them. Reminds me of my grandmother's garden in Mattapoisett, MA. #peas #garden #gardening #allotment #pine #mulch #pinus
