Matthias Nau<p>#11<br>In the name of all authors, a big thank you to the reviewers &amp; editors, NIMH &amp; NIH, and everyone who gave feedback!</p><p>On a personal note, I started my lab <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://social.edu.nl/@vuamsterdam" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">@<span>vuamsterdam</span></a></span> and will be hiring - Interested in <a href="https://neuromatch.social/tags/Multitask" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Multitask</span></a> studies rethinking vision, memory &amp; imagery? Please apply!</p>
Matthias Nau<p>#9<br>New, unifying concepts may be derived empirically by linking data patterns that <a href="https://neuromatch.social/tags/generalize" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>generalize</span></a> to the interaction between experimental components (<a href="https://neuromatch.social/tags/TaskDemands" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>TaskDemands</span></a>).</p><p>New theories can emerge and be tested through <a href="https://neuromatch.social/tags/Multitask" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Multitask</span></a> studies unconstrained by existing taxonomies.</p>
Matthias Nau<p>#8<br>The benefits of <a href="https://neuromatch.social/tags/Multitask" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Multitask</span></a> studies are huge!</p><p>Most importantly, they allow testing the prevalent assumption of <a href="https://neuromatch.social/tags/generalization" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>generalization</span></a>, yielding results with high chance of generalizing beyond the lab. What's more, they even enable the discovery of *new concepts*!</p>
Matthias Nau<p>#7<br><a href="https://neuromatch.social/tags/TaskDemands" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>TaskDemands</span></a> emerge from the inherent interaction btwn experimental components (i.e. stimuli, instructions, actions).</p><p>To understand their effect, we need <a href="https://neuromatch.social/tags/Multitask" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Multitask</span></a> studies that vary multiple components and measure physiological &amp; behavioral states in naturalistic settings.</p>
