Will they hold again if #Trump has a 2nd term? We posed that question to 50 fmr top ofcls from the #Justice Dept, the #WhiteHouseCounsel’s Office, …a few retired #judges & #nonpartisan career #DOJ #lawyers. The fmr ofcls, evenly split between Republicans & Democrats, have served 7 presidents.

Most of them are freaked out about Trump’s potential impact on the DOJ, as we wrote today in a story for The NYT Magazine.

For me it’s been a hell of a moral check-in. I’m 1st gen #American & my refugee parents raised me to value & engage in #Democracy. I was a #policy #advocate w/the fed govt who remained publicly #nonpartisan throughout. I believe elections are sacrosanct, it’s your duty to vote or hush & being a juror is an act of service in furtherance of #justice. I’d like to think I’d serve on the #jury honorably. I can also imagine the #Trump #trial posing the same conflicts as one w/a neo-Nazi as a defendant
