@Snowshadow I used to take my vacations in the summer, and head to Europe — then I asked myself — “Self, why the f___ are you leaving Canada during the best weather of the whole year?”. Now I take my summer vacations in Canada, and I bugger off to the far off wilderness to enjoy what my home and native land has to offer.

The City of Mississauga has begun to remove all American flags from sports arenas and scenic locations along Lake Ontario.
They will be replaced with oversized Canadian 🇨🇦 flags, including all flag poles at City Hall.

#Ontario, Canada peeps or anyone have insight into why there was a sudden stop of uploading Ontario COVID #genomic sequence data to #GISAID? Last sequences dated Feb. 12, 2025 and nothing since. There was still 57-83 sequences a day being uploaded before that.

Now only a small # of sequences coming from NB & Quebec and periodically a few from AB, BC, and NS for all of Canada. You can see the big drop in Canada sequences when ON stopped submitting so very difficult to track what is going on.🧵1/

Trump hasn’t spoken publically about Canada since before his team met with Ford and LeBlanc. Even more, his first post after the meeting was a repost about how NATO has become stronger.

Something changed… I want to know what.

Such an odd story.

"Jeffery Wood was arrested on April 25, 2024 & charged with six offences related to forgery, theft and possession of stolen property.
Four days later, a justice of the peace in Ottawa released Wood to live with two of his three sureties in Powassan, Ont., a small town three hours north of Toronto. 
Two of his sureties are retired #Ontario Provincial Police officers"
