Rex Ellis 1942 – 2025

After acquiring his first pack camels in 1976, Rex had a dream: to cross the Simpson Desert. He had little experience & no blueprint. But he sought the wisdom of old cameleers, pieced together a bit of knowledge and the expedition was a success.

His spirit of adventure lives on.
