Daveybot<p>It's a shame that these accumulated, layered spaces often veer into the actually unsafe. Take this example of a fondouk in Marrakech, for instance.</p><p>It's clearly structurally unsound, and probably a huge fire risk. But I still find the obvious visual presence of so many potential stories in it completely fascinating. </p><p>I turned it into a screen print as part of an evening class I was taking, once. Must revisit that craft some time.</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.scot/tags/Architecture" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Architecture</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.scot/tags/Palimpsest" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Palimpsest</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.scot/tags/ScreenPrinting" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>ScreenPrinting</span></a></p>
Daveybot<p>Since I'm now thinking about them, a few more pictures of walls of crap, from the archives.</p><p>Honestly I absolutely adore these moments, but it's hard to describe exactly why.</p><p>I think it's something along the lines of how they express a history of absolutely functional interventions with an almost complete disregard for an overall aesthetic whole. And yet somehow the derived palimpsest of additions becomes exactly that.</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.scot/tags/Architecture" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Architecture</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.scot/tags/Edinburgh" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Edinburgh</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.scot/tags/Palimpsest" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Palimpsest</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.scot/tags/Services" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Services</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.scot/tags/Urbanism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Urbanism</span></a></p>

Steve DallapeThis is a bit of a head-scratcher. I used to think it said "PAWN SHOP", but closer inspection deflates that notion.
