APS3E is a PS3 emulator for Android. Right now, it doesn't support vibration feedback on the phone. Like, having in-game vibration events sent to the phone's vibrator. So every time there's an update, I check for it.

Does this one vibrate?

*loads Dragon Ball Raging Blast 2 and powers up* Are you feelin' it, Mr. Crabs? Are you feelin' it, Mr. Crabs? ... Nope. I feel nothing. I am void. I am oblivion!

Will this update do it for me? *Loads DBZ Raging Blast 2* Are you feelin' it now, Mr. Crabs? Huh? Feelin' the vibes? Nope. Still nothing.

Lol. I'll give it a few more months. It is the only PS3 emulator for Android that has an in-game screen TalkBack can focus on and describe, so that's why I use it over RPCSx. Also RPCSX doesn't even expose the game list to TalkBack so I have to suspend it and poke around like a blind man and hope I touched the right game. :)

The information I can find is conflicting.
So, those who know #PS3...
I have a BC fat. It runs, it plays.
Should I enjoy it as is till it stops working and then delid to fix overheating, or should I take the risk of delidding to PREVENT overheating?
I'm leaning towards the latter, as all of these WILL overheat eventually, and hot chips are bad.
I am terrified of working on this thing. I got it for an insane deal a while back.

Sooooo.... Watching some Cold Case steaming through the PS3 now, as I need to charge the controllers, and my USB cables are too short for me to play while they are connected.

Unfortunately, the PS3 controllers can't be charged with a normal USB charger. For some reason they need to be connected to the PS3 while it's on... So yeah, if the system needs to be on anyway, best use it to watch something. 😊

Owwww and... I hooked up the PS2 to the HDMI converter, and I hooked that up to the switch and... It works!

There's no fancy upscaling in my converter, it was too cheap for that. But hey, it works, so now I can use the PS2 on the big telly. 😊

The CSI game was apparently still in the drive, so when I tried it, that's what the PS2 loaded up...

Had the PS3 hooked to the LAN, but it said it had no internet... 🤔
It was still set to wifi, and I needed to manually switch.
It sees the internet and... It got an update! The old phat PS3 got an update....
Letting the PS3 do a speed test now and... The results are rather low... Which I think may be the limits of the PSN/PS3, as I know my connection is a "wee bit" better than this... :ablobcatangel:

I first got Bioshock on the PS3 in a special online sale. Played it together with my then wife, and we loved it. 😊
I got the disc collection for the PS4 later on. But the digital version is still on the PS3 drive.

It's playing the little intro vid now, on my 4K 55" TV, and got a game that came out in 2008 (I think 🤔), it doesn't look bad at all.

I think I finished the PS4 edition of the first game once...

According to the save game, last time I played on PS3 was September 2022, and I got to the medical pavilion.

I have no idea about the controls anymore... So I guess if I would start it now, I'd be totally lost! And my USB cable isn't that long, so it makes it harder to play from the couch. 😊

I should have the guide to the three games upstairs, I think... And I have the novel of Rapture, written by John Shirley, which I really enjoyed.

I do feel like maybe, I should play the Bioshock games again... But wonder if they are on PS+ as well, as then maybe they'd be enhanced for PS5... 😇

Anywhoo......

The PS3 is working through the HDMI switch. I'll try to connect the PS2 later, and tomorrow I should get the converter for the Wii... Old Skool gaming will be happening! (if I can charge the controllers). :gaysparkles:

So, the different HDMI cable didn't help... I tried to switch the Blu-ray with the PS3, and... The PS3 works on the HDMI switch. Yay!
The controller I grabbed was as dead as could be, so it's charging now. 😊
And for some reason, the automatic time settings were way off... 🤔 So I did a manual one instead.
There are some games installed on the HD, and I have a few disc games too... So when the controller has been charged, I could game on the PS3 again.
Hopefully next week, I can attach the Wii and the PS2 as well. 😊

The newest entry to my collection is this beautiful silver PS3 Slim. Got it in a very bad condition but after taking care of it it's now ready to be an eye catcher in my console shelves replacing my black Slim. 🔄

I still regularly use my PS3 for gaming and watching Blu Rays. That's also why I was interested in getting this console in a more uncommon color. 🎮 🎬
