PSA: when someone passes on you, please be gracious.
I had to pass on three people recently. Two of them were gracious about it. The third, however.
Here is the message I sent them:
"Thank you, [name]
Ngl, you are pretty. However, and this has to do with my own issues, I'm not seeing match. I'm very sorry, and wish you the best of luck."
They came back with:
"You’re a non-binary pansexual and I’m objectively attractive. What the actual fuck."
Wow! I don't know if they thought there would be a discussion. I just blocked them.
Let's break this down:
1. First of all, this behavior proves that I was right to pass on them. Oh, you're in a hole? Grab a shovel and dig deeper, why don't you?
2. Attraction is far from being the be all and end all of matching. I saw stuff in their profile that made me pause.
3. Yes. I'm non-binary. Yes. I'm pansexual. It does **NOT** mean that a) I want to get it on with everyone under the sun and b) that, even if we are hot for each other, that we are a good match. This response reeks of entitlement.
