My knowledge of renting tells me that a lot of companies only take checks or cash for paying the utilities, but is that really true nowadays? Do y'all have like a separate account for putting rent money in to each month or bi-weekly so that you can just send over the entire rent payment at once without having to worry, so like for example, I get paid bi-weekly, but i put half the payment in the first week in to an account and the second half the next time I get paid and it all just comes out when the rent is due? I am trying to learn strategies here so that I can rent successfully. There’s apps you have to download. Inspections have to be scheduled. They are always at stupid times like 2pm Wednesday afternoon. The agent is a smug prick. You are rushed around the apartment with 30 other prospective tenants. It’s advertised at $650/week but you overhear another couple saying they are going to offer $690. Rent bidding is still illegal btw. If you want to apply, it’s too late. You should’ve pre-applied last week through this third party platform that charges extra for ID verification and you have to provide your bank details and three personal references and a whole summary paragraph of why you deserve a roof over your head. Linux Is BestI am not looking forward to tomorrow.Tomorrow, the property management is going to come here, again, for the 3rd time, and no doubt see that the top freezer part of my refrigerator, floor is all covered in ice, and tell me it is working just fine. It will not matter that there is between 1–2 inches of ice, they'll claim it's cold and working. The management does not come here when all that is mostly melted and the back of my freezer feels warm, as does most of my refrigerator.
