The Streets of Melbourne<p>Not sure if this is a <a href="https://aus.social/tags/honeylocust" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>honeylocust</span></a> or even a <a href="https://aus.social/tags/brazillianferntree" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>brazillianferntree</span></a> but there are quite a few around <a href="https://aus.social/tags/melbourne" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>melbourne</span></a> <a href="https://aus.social/tags/Australia" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Australia</span></a> throughout the suburbs. </p><p>This one was growing in <a href="https://aus.social/tags/Ripponlea" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Ripponlea</span></a>. </p><p>The two toned leaf colour is spectacular and has been displaying like this for around 6 weeks now. </p><p>The new growth presents as a light greeny/yellow - almost fluorescent when the sun is shining. </p><p>The lighter leaves turn the darker green slowly, as we’re seeing on most now. So this one must have been a late bloomer. </p><p>Gorgeous. 🍃<br>

The Streets of Melbourne<p>The <a href="https://aus.social/tags/goldendewdrop" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>goldendewdrop</span></a> is a flowering shrub native from Mexico to South America and the Caribbean. </p><p>Note: they’re not ‘golden’ 🤔</p><p>It is widely grown as an ornamental plant in tropical and subtropical gardens world-wide. </p><p>The petals are visually pleasing. The Streets of Melbourne<p>Travelling through <a href="https://aus.social/tags/ripponlea" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ripponlea</span></a> <a href="https://aus.social/tags/Australia" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Australia</span></a> this morning and what a treat to behold! </p><p>This is a <a href="https://aus.social/tags/Persiansilktree" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Persiansilktree</span></a>, also known as a <a href="https://aus.social/tags/mimosa" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>mimosa</span></a> tree.</p><p>I have never come by one ever before. And it is gorgeous! </p><p>It was poking above a residential fence near a waterway and the flowers are just delightful! The main structure seems sturdy enough and the ‘petals’ were as fine as the finest hair. I’d suggest even lighter than the cat hair, to the touch. </p><p>And aromatic… oh my goodness yes! Floral and pungent.
