DorineI was walking in my garden yesterday looking for something to photograph. At the moment the rhododendron "Cunningham's White" is starting to bloom. It is an early blooming rhododendron, in the Netherlands already at the end of April/beginning of May. And although several of the beautiful white flowers are already open, I was especially fascinated by the buds. They are pink, which is special, because the flower is white, but that strange way in which the petals are folded. It is a miracle that they do not come out wrinkled. Photographed so close, it even has something creepy. Something fleshy, like the inside of an ear or something.
