Specifically, I will be doing things for and at the Paryaya Puthige Matha under the guidance of the Paryaya Swamiji.</p><p>Yes, "non-traditional" like I said.</p><p>I feel fortunate to be in such an amazing place, among some of the most learned scholars on the planet, but I'm also worried I will fail the people here. And my feed here isn't so different, save for the addition of some hobbyist dev diary stuff.</p><p>I've been in <a href="https://mastodon.gamedev.place/tags/gamedev" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>gamedev</span></a> for 20 years and it's never felt this unsustainable. I'm taking a <a href="https://mastodon.gamedev.place/tags/sabbatical" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>sabbatical</span></a> this summer — at my own expense, due to a deep need for rest and redirection — and I'm seriously considering just never coming back.</p>

And while there has been quite a bit of research related to the impact a sabbatical has on an individual, but there hasn't been any research specifically related to the impact employee sabbaticals have on organizations. I am looking to chat with human resource individuals or managers of employees who work for organizations that offer sabbaticals.

We need a large Sortition of rotating paid 1 year mandatory every 7? years in followed by 1yr paid in thanks. Get involvment, outreach, understanding, responsibility develop skills.
Start high school at level with outreach, projects, & implementation with expert teachers & mentors to help with logistics, resources organizing, problem solving, etc.. End proxy politics. Elections are for oligarchs.
