Danielle Smith and her UCP apes are TRAITORS who work for yankee oilmen against Canada. The conservatives are the enemy of Team Canada. The rest of Canada needs to speak up now. Loudly. Say you will boycott Alberta products on top of the yankee tariffs until the TRAITORS move to Mar a Lago for good.

Remember what the Ukrainians did to their traitors? We need to replicate that.

Hmm, some #hope ?

>> As Trump steamrolls Washington, courts flex their power to slow him down

At the time of #EdMartin's tweet, rioters had breached the building & Ashli Babbitt had been shot; on the other side of the Capitol, a #Jan6 rioter would soon drive a stun gun into an officer's neck during the brutal battle at the lower west tunnel.

Martin was on the board of the Patriot Freedom Project, which advocated for #J6 defendants & held fundraisers at #Trump's properties, including events where Trump spoke.

Today in Labor History January 4, 1883: Radical writer and publisher Max Eastman was born. In the 1910s, he edited “The Masses,” one of America's leading socialist periodicals. Contributors included Sherwood Anderson, Amy Lowell, Mabel Dodge Luhan, John Reed, Carl Sandburg and Upton Sinclair. During this period, he advocated for free love and birth control. In 1917, he co-founded “The Liberator” with his sister Crystal Eastman. In that periodical, he published Hellen Keller, John Dos Passos, Hemingway and Cummings. The U.S. government indicted him twice under the Sedition Act. Both times his lawyers got him acquitted. In 1917, he raised money for John Reed, who was in Russia, reporting on the Bolshevik Revolution. He published Reed's articles from Russia, later collected as “Ten Days That Shook the World.” In the early 1920s, Eastman lived in the Soviet Union. He witnessed Stalin’s Great Purge and became highly critical of Stalinism, and then of communism and socialism in general. He moved back to the U.S. and became a staunch anti-communist and an advocate of free market capitalism.

Today in Labor History December 23, 1921: President Warren Harding issued a "Christmas amnesty," freeing Eugene V. Debs and 23 other political prisoners who had been imprisoned for their opposition to World War I under the Sedition Act. Debs was a founding member of the IWW, a socialist, and a 5-time candidate for president of the US. In the 1912 election, he won 6% of the vote. He also led the 1894 Pullman Strike of over 250,000 railroad workers.

In 2023, the U.S. launched its #WithoutJustCause campaign to seek the release of the over 1 million political prisoners around the world, ignoring/denying the fact that it has its own political prisoners, including Mumia Abu-Jamal and Leonard Peltier, who have been in prison through eight different presidencies. None of these eight presidents even considered granting amnesty to them. Will Biden? Not likely.

"The whether lady"*

… WHETHER, not weather - about which #MTG clearly knows less than zero. (“Jewish Space Lasers, I tell you!”)

Whether she is sane, obvious question. … As to the ‘lady’ part… retracted.

With thoughts for the many now dealing with the aftermath of (apolitical) Milton...

This creature is just reprehensible - unequalled - except maybe by Sir #TrumpVirus - in lack of awareness, reality-testing, civility, grace...

@Strandjunker
And we the American people fired Jimmy Carter, a navy nuclear physicist scientist only to hire an actor.

The fact that we may hire a two bit game show host and pathological liar instead of a highly experienced prosecutor and vice president who actually worked effectively at her assignments and who obviously knows how to handle huckster oligarchs (who have no geographical perspective or geopolitical understanding, and yet seems to think geography is important in determining women’s rights, isn’t that what states rights are? Geography determining rights?).

In case you were wondering about which states banned abortion, look to the states that seceded from the union, who the assassination of President Abraham Lincoln caused to be given immunity for their sedition. A sedition to preserve states rights to implement slavery of humans.

Maybe pardons for sedionists isn’t such a good idea.

Isn’t a putsch the same thing as a coup and what sedition is designed to achieve?

Nice... Jack Smith's brief (redacted) has been made public...

"Breaking" news, amid all the rest. But a nice scent of #truth & #justice

@PJ_Evans

Yup, and nobody's ever checked as many boxes as Sir Stablegenius, in the history of the world, maybe universe... Terrific.

Between 'espionage act' items like stealing sensitive documents and selling them/showing them to enemies, and giving adversaries means to harm our country, and a few other super-overt and repeated acts, e.g., #Jan6 - except for the Rosenbergs, there's never been anything close to this level of nonstop #sedition, #corruption & criminality.

#justice delayed...
