Quote by MEE:
"Mar 25, 2025
Palestinian film director and Academy Award winner Hamdan Ballal was violently attacked by what his colleague described as a "lynch mob" of Israeli settlers on Monday night in the Palestinian village of Susya, south of Hebron in the occupied West Bank.
"The masked settler in the video is part of the lynch mob that attacked Hamdan’s village, they continued to attack American activists, breaking their car with stones," Ballal's co-director for No Other Land, Yuval Abraham, posted on X.
Abraham also said that Ballal’s whereabouts are now unknown after Israeli soldiers seized him from an ambulance that had arrived to treat him.
The same group of settlers was filmed attacking America activists in another video posted by Abraham on X."

#HamdanBallal, the Oscar-winning Palestinian filmmaker that Israeli settlers beat and tried to lynch on Sunday, and who was then dragged out of an ambulance by the IOF, has been let go.

Ballal is now in a hospital in Hebron, being treated for the injuries he suffered at the hands of the Israeli soldiers and settlers. They beat him everywhere. Then they left him, blindfolded and handcuffed, in the depths of a military base until his release.

So while everyone is entertained (in French we say "diverted" which is more apt) by a bunch of clowns in the US, #Israel killed 600 #Palestinians in #Gaza, during what is supposed to be a #ceasefire. Today in the #WestBank, #Oscar winning co-director of #NoOtherLand Hamdan Ballal was beaten up by #settlers then disappeared by the the Israeli army. edition.cnn.com/2025/03/24/mid

Salah Diab's story
"Last month, the Jerusalem District Court paved the way for the eviction of 22 members of his family from the property they’ve lived in for decades...the judge sided with Nahalat Shimon International, an Israeli settler group that seeks to expel the Diabs and replace them with Israeli Jews"
Just think if it happened to you, illegal occupation, you have to leave your home for the occupier. Hell no.

Basel Adra, accepting the award, said the film “reflects the harsh reality that we have been enduring for decades”.

He added, “ About two months ago, I became a father, and my hope to my daughter that she will not have to live the same life I’m living now — always fearing settler violence, home demolitions and forcible displacements that my community Masafer Yatta is living and facing every day under Israeli occupation.”

"Successful colonization of New England depended heavily on domestic animals. […]

"At least at first, friction between these unlikely neighbors grew less from the very different ideas that informed Indian and English concepts of property than from the behavior of livestock. Let loose to forage in the woods, the animals wandered away from English towns into Indian cornfields, ate their fill, and moved on."
