Yesterday I decided to take my criminally neglected Sigma SD Quattro for a spin again. The camera and its #Foveon sensor may have their share of quirks, but the results still blow me away completely.
There is really nothing comparable out there, and I sincerely hope that Sigma finds a way to resurrect the technology.

Thom<p>Die Hyazinthen blühen im Garten. Bienen tummeln sich auf den Blüten. Mit dem Sigma 105mm Makro-Objektiv habe ich versucht, die Bienen auf den Blüten bei ihrer Arbeit einzufangen. ThomNaja, was soll ich sagen? Endlich wieder etwas Farbe draussen und ich bin krank im Haus. Aber offensichtlich erbarmen sich diesen Krokusse meiner armen Fotografenseele und wachsen direkt vor der Haustüre, geschützt an einer Mauer im wärmenden Sonnenlicht. Da konnte ich nicht wiederstehen!<br>

L’homme marque de son empreinte le territoire qu’il habite, inscrivant dans le paysage les traces de son occupation. Éléments vernaculaires de nos paysages, témoins du temps passé, révélatrices du temps présent ou supports du temps qui s’écoule, elles sont le reflet de la situation sociale, économique et politique de ceux qui vivent là. Cette série photographique, initiée en 2011, montre cela, constituant un "portrait de lieu", personnel et subjectif. Le "portrait de lieu" de la France d’aujourd’hui. D’ici et de maintenant.<br>

Egyptian goose 
The Nile Goose (Alopochen aegyptiaca) grows up to 73 cm tall and has a wingspan of up to 135 cm. Its diet includes grasses, seeds and leaves. The Nile Goose was originally native to most of Africa, but due to escaped gooses from farms, they are also native to Europe. Nilgans Die Nilgans (Alopochen aegyptiaca) wird bis zu 73 cm groß und bekommt eine Spannweite von bis zu 135 cm. Sie ernährt sich u.a. von Gräsern, Samen und Blättern. Ursprünglich war die Nilgans in fast ganz Afrika beheimatet, aber durch entflohene Tiere aus Haltungen sind sie auch hier beheimatet.
