I don't support corporate social media and you don't get read attention there anyway, mailing lists aren't what they once were, and this event wants to reach people across many patterny disciplines..</p><p>Any help spreading the word across all the strange pattern-obsessed communities much appreciated!</p><p>--</p><p>Algorithmic Pattern is a new festival and conference for people curious about the practice and culture of algorithmic pattern-making, across algorithmic music, arts and craft. (2,4,3,5,1) − (1,2,3,4,5) = (1,2,0,1,−4) ≡ (1,2,0,1,1) ≡ (1,2,5,1,6)</p><p>Siteswaps can be cyclically permuted, giving a fun consequence:</p><p>Take any n×n Latin square, and subtract the canonical cyclic Latin square, mod n. This always gives a "juggler's word square": a matrix in which each row and column is a valid siteswap!</p>
