The Edgeryders project created an online forum to discuss coping strategies to respond to the 2009 financial crisis, with lots of #SocialInnovation going on. The project ended in June 2012, but the forum – migrated twice, Drupal 6 => Drupal 7 => DIscourse – is still online and fully interactive. Meanwhile, contributors grew by a factor 15. Posts grew by a factor 30.

The question is now: how to keep this content safe in the long term? What to people think?

I am going to present a my talk "Social Innovate Yourself!" on Wednesday. Somewhen between 15.30 and 17.00 in HG-08A00 you can join Panel 001 "Innovation Discontinuities" to enjoy some Adornian rants and see the results of my latest stunt in taking money from the neoliberals and giving most of it to me (not at all neoliberal!) to tell entrepreneurs how fucked up everything is. This research had been facilitated by funding from Germany's Federal Ministry for Research and Education (bisous!)

Secret bonus tip: I do also stand in for my cooauthor presenting (Tuesday 13.30, HG-06A32, P167: World-making and pragmatism) our work on messing with GT and Situational Analysis, in which we discuss about the latest trends in pragmatist-poststructuralist eclecticism, messy methods, and just a sweet dash of Bergsonian philosophy!

Today, we celebrated our Innovatathon, Viadrina's first Social Innovation Event. And it was awesome! We had more than 100% of our registered participants on site, even though some had to withdraw their registration - all others came, and more, joining for a day of sharing ideas, creating projects, and imaginating futures by means of art, engagement, and entrepreneurship. I wish all seven, enthralling projects that have been presented today all the best for their future. It will indeed be my next task to work on teaching and other formats to help them continue their work and consolidate their visions - and there shall be another Innovatathon in the future, maybe next time not during exam week (sorry!).
I thank all participants, mentors, our jury, my students, and my incomparable number one in campaigning and assistant facilitator for making this vision of envisioning reality! #SocialInnovation #SocialImpact
