I was watching a show tonight. Two characters were having an intense discussion. One dramatically yanked his own glasses off to glare at the other while making his point. This is something I've seen many times in movies and tv shows, but never in real life.

I tried yanking my glasses off to say something forceful to @Knightky . I couldn't see for shit, and I had to be careful I didn't damage my frames. It was very silly.

After a year or so, I guess I'm still figuring out bifocals (Progressives® actually). I still haven't mastered in-between distances. Is there a trick to it? They work great for things far away and for reading, but I just have to take them off altogether for in-between stuff like using my desktop computer.

I spend a disproportionate amount of time wandering around the house muttering to myself 'where are my bloody glasses'
Always followed by 'wtf did I put them there for'?

I keep getting over excited about apocalyptic clouds only to peer over the tops of my new glasses and realise the transition lenses are lying to me #spectacles

I miss the days when I could just pick up a printed #book and start #reading. At present I have usually to scratch around for my #reading #spectacles; then I have to locate my #reading light. Once all of these 'measures' have been taken, I can start to #read the #book. Usually by this time my initial enthusiasm for #reading has greatly dissipated.
