Since it is so-called "smart", and it attempts to provide context around the "source" of your note, its window is constantly updating with "current source" ALL THE TIME. Its visually distracting AF. And it can't be disabled. When I need to make a note in Windows in a hurry and I can't use <a href="https://mas.to/tags/Silverbullet" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Silverbullet</a> (which is awesome btw), the <a href="https://mas.to/tags/StickyNotes" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#StickyNotes</a> app is *right there*, and syncs my notes between computers. If you DELETE a note on a different computer, trying to launch Notes on the one that last had THAT note, it keeps closing (cause note !valid anymore), with no error or rationale *why*. You have to launch from its Start shortcut, which launches in "List all" mode instead of "Last Note" mode.
