A whole lot of working up to the highlights is done, working the NMM, then it's the face and the sword, and rimming.

Time to highlight up through mid to highlight!

@mollymetroid requested a side by side of the original fig and my repaint. The second picture is the original paint job under strong directional light. The original was 100% flat coloring with no shading at all.

The repaint is lit by a single light from the front, you can see the shadow cast by the light.

I'm not entirely happy with the shardblade, but at the moment it's the best I can manage, so I will be satisfied. For now.

This was a prepainted fig from the miniatures kickstarter, and since I'm not one to display fan figures, I primed over the mediocre paintjob and redid it myself. Better? Maybe. More satisfying? Absolutely.

I have so many WIP shots of this dude and I've barely touched the back half, because it's going to be much darker and easier, since it's on the shaded side.

Not a ton of change today, because my boss was wanting clarificaton on some work packages and also a minor defect opened up a giant can of worms upon investigation.

Started on the OSL for the cracks in the shardplate, and noticed the hip plates on the left hip are also cracked, so started filling those in with titanium white.

Got my Year of the Sanderson kickstarter stuff today. Super hyped to finally have it!
