This is a fishing lake near Sződliget, #Hungary. This picturesque lake has a stunning setting, with numerous weathered wooden huts on the banks and small islands.

I can understand why some people see these photos and think this is some #abandoned ancient village. It is a nice story :)

Heading into Christ Church at Holy Corner for a concert by chum's choir, the Italianate #architecture of Morningside United opposite almost entirely swallowed by growing evening shadows, just the bell tower & sliver of the front catching the last hour of light.

Ashes of the Afternoon

This photograph captures the sunset to the west of my home. Silhouetted treetops line the bottom of the frame, quiet and dark. Above them, the sky ignites—scattered clouds drift at varying heights, catching the light. The colors shift upward: yellow near the horizon, fading into pale blue overhead. The clouds themselves wear a palette of gray, gold, orange, and deep red, each one lit differently by the sun’s retreat.
