WonderdogJust finished reading a library book, first in a duology, and very impressed. Fathomfolk by Eliza Chan. The author says it was inspired by “mythology, East and South East Asian cities and diaspora feels” and all of that comes through very strongly. Great character writing (a little confusing for me at the start but I’m super stressed right now); the world building is seamless; and the pace is spot on. In <a href="https://social.wildeboer.net/tags/Germany" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Germany</a> (and I guess in many more countries) you can borrow CDs from your local library, legally rip them at home to your private music collection, bring the CDs back to the library and enjoy the music forever. Oh.
