“Beginning #programmers are often so eager to accomplish the first part of that definition—writing a #program to perform a certain #task—that they fail on the second part of the definition, meeting the stated #constraints.
I call a program like that, one that appears to produce correct results but breaks one or more of the stated rules, a #KobayashiMaru.” — #VAntonSpraul

A quotation from Fuller, Thomas (1654):
«
Let the Care of one’s Business be committed but to one Person; for otherwise, besides Disagreement which may arise when Account is taken, everyone’s Answer is, That he thought others had done it.

In SuperCollider:
So I have a value that changes over time and I want to it to ramp up when some event occurs and ramp down when a different one occurs. Essentially, I want to offset it from it's baseline via a gate.
If there's a lot of audio input, the gate is 0, if silence is detected, the gate goes to 1.
The obvious place for this is a Task, so I was looking at Penv as a way to embed an ASR envelope.
However, I'm stumped at how to apply a gate to a Penv.
These are the four best-known task management systems in text form on the computer. I have already mentioned above what I prefer and continue to use.
As all these are graphically minimal, i.e. only technical, you are not unnecessarily distracted.

I've switched my #task management system from #Todoist to #Obsidian and back several times over the past year.
And now I have a confession to make. I think I have chosen, and my choice is Todoist...

We all know that a #job is a job and no matter how enjoyable one finds it, #FuckYouPayMe, but even in the most mundane activity people can find a spark.
For me, I think one of my favorite "boring" tasks is coiling rope and cable. I find it meditative. Untangling tangles is a puzzle which has a clear solution even if it takes a while to get there. Properly-coiled cable lies just right, and organizing it appeals to some sense of order in me. And I get to do it a lot. I know some people hate it, but I enjoy it.
What's a thankless #task, in your #work or life, which gives you pleasure?
