Idiots who are obsessed with "being natural".

You NEVER gonna be natural! Because you would be dead if you were natural.

#Nature kills us, #science keeps us alive. This applies to only humans though, not other animals.

You need medications, vaccines, professional treatment (for example for transphobia), cleaning products, unnatural products like smartphone that you share your bigotry online, and more!

You shave your body, you cut your nails, you wash your hands (I mean I hope so)... You see? You're even NOT natural!

For those who have had major #surgery in San Francisco (like bottom surgery), where did you do your recovery at? I am struggling hard to find a place that meets the criteria:

* No stairs, either elevator or ground-level entry.
* Preferably a walk-in shower.
* Kitchen and enough space for 3-4 people (I'll potentially have my kid and 1-2 caretakers at various times)
* Can book for 6+ weeks.
* Within 30ish minutes of the city.

RT's appreciated, as are SPECIFIC recommendations. I know to look at AirBnB's and extended stay hotels. I've been doing that. I'm looking for advice/recommendations for SPECIFIC places.

Okay, so I did a dumb. And it's going to need some #TransMutualAid

I assumed my job (Goodwill) would be paying me throughout my recovery period. But they didn't except for the week of the surgery itself. All because I'm part-time and not full-time.

Which means I foolishly blew through the money (not nearly enough) DoorDashing food cravings and (thanks to withdrawing a $100 check to pay some tax stuff to the IRS) I am broke until the next paycheck comes Friday.

I also have the possibility of Medicaid not covering the #orchi surgery I had. And wanting to also slowly save up for vaginioplasty.

Deleting all food apps off phone and setting up some short-term mutual aid sources when I get home before doing a long-term #GoFundMe .

Since my last #introduction was in January 2023 - a lifetime ago - it feels like time for a new one.

I'm Rebecca, a 43-year-old #queer woman and software engineer in Fort Collins, #Colorado. I'm married and parenting a sweet, also-queer 12-year-old kiddo.

Idly thinking about, while waiting for my bottom #surgery date, getting the ball rolling on #FFS. I was really hoping to wait longer - ideally until 3-4 years of #HRT had a chance to maximize what benefits I might get, but I'm honestly worried about how much longer I'll have access to the ability to get it done.

Given the way things are going right now, a lot could happen. My insurer could stop covering gender care (there's some legal things that would prevent this, but, I don't have a lot of confidence in laws right now.) Or, more realistically, I could very easily lose my job as the tech apocalypse just accelerates.

So here's my question. While I don't have a specific date right now, I've been told to expect January-March for a bottom surgery date. If I were to be able to arrange FFS towards the end of next year ... am I being overly ambitious?

FWIW, the list of things I want addressed is pretty small. Hairline, eyes, nose are the biggest things.

Just finished my three week - well, slightly more - check-in with my surgeon. He said everything is sounding great, and that some of the strength would come back and breathiness would go away as the botox continues to wear off more. To keep up with speech therapy.

And .... I can start having caffeine and chocolate again!!! 🩷
