Today I was looking for information on a local Urban Sketchers chapter in the hopes of trying the group out. There's just one issue - it appears that the group ONLY maintains a Facebook page that I cannot access.

The official Urban Sketchers website only points to these Facebook Group pages. I'll keep looking in the hopes I can find a community board somewhere, but the over reliance on Facebook Group pages is something I'd love to see addressed by orgs

Went to a super lovely urban sketching event today in Nuremberg. They invited people from other cities and there were even some international visitors.

But honestly, sketching architecture is so new to me, that I feel mediocre at best. Also... I still can't find my travel brushes since I moved. Will they improve what I do? I don't know... but here is what I managed to sketch today!

It's always exciting when I start a new #sketchbook.
The last one - Volume 16 - lasted 20 months which is slightly longer than average.

All my sketchbooks are in the same 148 X 130mm format, they are Daler- Rowney Ebony books which have 150g/m2 acid free paper.

Volume 16 (just finished) started in Glenfield, Leicestershire, England and went with me via Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Grand Cayman, Jamaica, Cuba & Mexico as well as the English counties of Kent, Norfolk, Sussex, Northamptonshire & Lincolnshire back to the last scribble in the book within 500 metres of the first in the book.

I can't boast of any great skill, but it's something I enjoy doing and the books help me to remember our past, and our holidays to distant places.
I would love my grandchildren (and their children) to discover the world through them.

I can't imagine where the next book will accompany me to!
