Mike maɪk<p>Good to re-visit a fav. place in N. Wales. Cymru-Wales has the largest no. of ancient yews in the world. This yew, one of the oldest living things I’m ever likely to see, is in the equally ancient burial ground at Cyffylliog. It’s thought to be over 2000yrs old.<br />Fascinating to imagine as a sapling it would hear (!) a Brittonic dialect spoken by Iron Age locals + Latin & other tongues of Roman army passing through, building their roads & forts.<br /><a href="https://lingo.lol/tags/yew" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>yew</span></a> <a href="https://lingo.lol/tags/wales" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>wales</span></a> <a href="https://lingo.lol/tags/cymru" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>cymru</span></a> <a href="https://lingo.lol/tags/today" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>today</span></a> <a href="https://lingo.lol/tags/language" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>language</span></a> <a href="https://lingo.lol/tags/welshChurch" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>welshChurch</span></a></p>
