Hannah (Fixing the weakness of its flesh :neobot:)
Some personal thoughts on #why2025 now that Hannah had time to decompress and settle in:

Ohmygoshaaahhhhhhh!!!!!!111 :neobot_yell:
That was soooo coool! Hannah really enjoyed itself there... And actually cannot wait for more events like these! :neobot_aww:

Really feeling like it can finally come out of its shell somewhat.... And Hannah appreciates all the entities that helped it out to come that far and that also helped out in its personal development. :neobot_heart_purple:
So many silly memories.... it will never forget how things went (both the good and the bad) and the creatures that helped out along the way. Here is to many more! :neobot_aww:
As this was the first camp it visited it cannot compare it to other camps... But it did enjoy itself at WHY2025 despite all the hiccups it encountered. But there were many positive experiences... and that is what Hannah will take home!

Thanks... from the bottom of its heart~ :neobot_heart_cyan:

Some silly statistics that it tracked:
- Hannah walked nearly ~100km (98.81km) from day -6 to day 6. No clue where all these steps go... Probably to Amsterdam and back at this rate! :neobot_peek:
- Hannah patted 15 distinct entities and got patted by 9 distinct entities at least 14 times! :neobot_melt:
- Hannah met 12 new entities and made some new connections! :neobot_aww:
- Hannah meowed 94 times! (Mostly as a response to entites meowing at Hannah because of its cat-like beanie) :neocat_yell:
- Hannah beeped 35 times... That number needs to go up! :neobot_sign_beep:
- Hannah got booped 403 times! (@memdmp@catgirl.center is responsible for many of these)
- Hannah hugged 11 entities 35 times!

(Maybe a separate post will describe the experiences it had in the team it joined very late.)

Kiesraad
Presentatie gemist? Martin Hamilton, WHY -> Wye
UPDATE: #WHY2025 Badge disassembled, and no visible evidence of epoxy seepage beyond the back layer - phew! Also the badge spills a few more secrets, which makes a nice change from the other stuff... :why2025:

Martin Hamilton, WHY -> Wye
@bas Yes please! Quite a few of the M.2 sockets have broken off (eyes his own badge nervously...), so I'm sure people will appreciate knowing what's involved in fixing it. I will share some more #WHY2025 badge secrets in a moment... :why2025:

Trammell Hudson
Curious what it was like to cycle to #why2025 with a full cargo bike? Ride along with me on the 60km from Amsterdam to Ouderkarspel https://youtu.be/CwDgqmWs3rY

aetiosの日本語を直して下さい🙇‍♀️Funny thing that happened at #why2025

A member of the public (presumably) came to our village and was astounded by the absolute mountain of old hardware we have managed to amass. He was mostly wondering how we got all of this. As it turns out we got most of it for free and just paid for the boxes to put it in. Our summary was, you need to know people, and people need to know you. And knowing companies helps too...

A few days later we got 3 DSLAMs and 20+ DSL modem-routers dumped on us so I suppose that corrobates that story

Quixoticgeek
I'm seeing various after #WHY2025 posts with people giving their experience and the others replying with how it didn't match theirs. Remember, a big event like this is a lot like the three blind men and an elephant. Each of us can only judge based on the bits we experienced. And while some got a rope (or is it a tail), some got a tree trunk (or is it a leg), some got a snake (or is that a trunk?).

No two people got the same experience. Remember this when talking about the event.

Martin Hamilton, WHY -> Wye
UPDATE: After ~6 hours sunbathing, #WHY2025 badge epoxy now appears to have transitioned from cursed -> cured state. Will also disassemble to check for any further surprises, and report back...

(SOUND: On)

AnnaBanana
And although quite nervous at first, I was very happy with the #solarpunk #zine workshop which I held 😊 It was such a great exchange of ideas for a brighter future, and started out with the question "We are here. Solarpunk is there. How can we get there?". The conversations and resulting zones (some with fold-out and tips on insulation, energy transportation in time and space, batteries, and more!) were fantastic and definitely left me feeling hopeful for what's ahead. 🌱#why2025
