For any fans of literature, classical novels and the Brontë sisters. A photo of Anne Brontë’s grave in our local churchyard (St. Mary’s) taken a few days ago. She died on May 28th 1849, aged 29 (not 28 as per the stone.) The main headstone faded through weathering (the cemetery’s situated on an exposed cliff top) and a new stone was added a few years ago to mark the site.

A trip to deepest #Yorkshire to buy spray paint for the 1:24 scale #Volvo F16 Globetrotter tractor unit I'm going to build. While there I took the plunge and bought a trailer for it.

The truck build will start in the Autumn, when the days grow shorter, and the weather gets too poor to play out.

I don’t live with my mom anymore, so I don’t get to see them as often, but they’re still incredibly cute. 🥰🐕

It's been over 4 weeks since it last rained here so decided to refill the water butts from the spring (which is still going, though at a very low rate!). Took the opportunity to empty, clean and raise one of them up to better get watering cans under it.

Will have 1800 litres stored when I'm finished. Would still prefer it rained though!

Ditched the tap attachments and got a full 5cm IBC spout and it can fill a 10l watering can in like 3 seconds! it's amazing.

A 600 litre white IBC; about one third full of water. It is sat on what looks like a precarious pile of stone and has a some garden hoses draped around it.

NEW WORK: The historical ruins of Jervaulx Abbey, North Yorkshire.

I've been meaning to explore this place for YEARS, but have seemingly never got round to it. Finally managed to sort that out recently. Incredible place that fills you with a sense of awe.

“I broke down on the Humber Bridge (UK) & had to communicate through an ME/CFS crash. Everyone including the call centre staff, highways agency, breakdown recovery, and two excellent friends made sure I was cared for and got me home safe, I don't know what I would have done without them.

It means I'm not bedridden today having to recover and I can't thank them enough.”
