I can't be the only person who had no idea that #MattGaetz created an official "El Salvador Caucus" in the U.S. Congress last year and it just so happens to be full of most of that body's biggest cranks (#LaurenBoebert, #MikeLee, #NancyMace, #TimBurchett) and most corrupt reps (#AndyOgles, who made some “interesting” campaign finance moves at the crypto industry’s favorite bank that he and George Santos chose to hold their campaign money).

Feels like kind of a lot of congressional time spent nurturing America's relationship with a country whose GDP rivals that of Des Moines, Iowa.

5. Got hacked by Russia midway through Synapse bankruptcy proceedings

7. Frequently found to be the bank used by #pigbutchering fraudsters
8. Sanctioned by federal reserve for #moneylaundering

The fact that Evolve has not been shut down is insane. Banking system cannot survive if these kinds of bad actors roam free like the wind.

SCOOP: Another BaaS platform bankruptcy (yes, it involves troubled Evolve Bank & Trust) BaaS platform Solid declares bankruptcy; it had partnered with Evolve Bank & Trust, CBW Bank & Lewis & Clark Bank. What we know: Solid memorably was sued by its own investors, FTV, who accused the company of manipulating revenue numbers during its Series B fundraise. The matter was ultimately settled with Solid buying back FTV's stake at a 56% discount. Solid and Evolve have also been embroiled in lawsuits stemming from Solid's relationship with EZBanc, an entity with links to a convicted Russian money launder. Suits stemming from the EZBanc relationship accuse Solid and Evolve of fraud, negligence, and breach of fiduciary duty, among other allegations. Now, the company is seeking Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, according to a petition filed in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Delaware on Monday, April 7th.

The #Pennsylvania #Republican introduced the #legislation w/ 6 R co-sponsors: Reps #ChuckFleischmann, #PaulGosar, #TroyNehls, #AndyOgles, #BarryMoore, & #MikeWaltz.

The bill, was referred to the #House Transportation & Infrastructure Cmte for consideration.

It's not yet clear how the bill will fare in the #GOP-controlled House, tho it's likely to be DOA in the Democrat-controlled #Senate -- meaning it would not become #law.

9. Assuming a persistent youth movement that recruits parents, the Republican gerrymander could prove to be out over its skis in 2024, 2026, 2028.

Whether or not the margin can be overcome, students could certainly challenge the NRA and guns-over-all-else culture by rallying against figures like US House Rep Andy Ogles, pictured here celebrating guns in a Christmas photo shoot.
