#Celtic #FolkloreSunday: The most magical of fruits to the #Celts, the apple appears in many myths and legends. It hides in the word for the Arthurian #Otherworld, #Avalon. It is the fruit on which the hero Connla of the Golden Hair was fed by his #fairy lover. The soul of king Cú Roí rested in an apple within the stomach of a salmon and this symbolic fruit was one of the goals of the fated Sons of Tuireann.
