Am I mistaken in saying that what the #Alabama Supreme court is calling and "embryo" is not really an embryo? An embryo is a fertilized , multicellular mass at some point between conception and birth. Even with such a broad definition as this, frozen eggs are zygotes, not embryos. The court has called these eggs "humans," but they used the wrong word for them. What does the law mean when it is inaccurate and incomprehensible?

Certainly, the corollary to this is that such court appointees do not have the authority to rule on such things because they simply don't understand fuck-all about what they are writing, no matter how much they quote the Bible.

Edit: see response from @dlakelan that shows I was wrong in saying the embryos were not actually embryos -

Mastodon @ SDFDaniel Lakeland (@dlakelan@mastodon.sdf.org)@Brad_Rosenheim@climatejustice.social Although the whole thing is insane my understanding is that these are frozen embryos at the blastocyst stage, typically IVF fertilized and grown in a dish overnight then frozen. They're ~ 256 cells or something like that but they're definitely not just egg cells.
