Abandoned drive in in #Lompoc, CA.
Went on some dates there way back when.
Used a yellow filter on the second shot, kind of perfect conditions for it--white foreground subject (well, it's supposed to be, but a bit grungy after 25 years), pale blue sky (in reality, but the filter darkens it) and wispy clouds.

If you're wondering if we're launching the nukes on November 6th, no, it's a test launch of a nuclear missile. (unarmed... hopefully). One of these went haywire one year and it was pretty intense (bright highly visible trail, then the missile pulsing, and eventually self destructed 
)

The 98-megawatt (MW) #StraussWind is near #Lompoc, on the Central Coast, with #Vandenberg Space Force Base to the south, west, and northwest. The location’s 3,000-acre topography is perpendicular to the predominant wind direction from the ocean, making it an ideal location to generate wind power.
