@vt52 a friend of mine implemented nix-fused more than 10 years ago (unfortunately as a corp-internal non-public project) which just pulled on demand whatever was needed to execute a random binary into the Nix store.
I believe there was a recent talk at #NixCon or so where someone reimplemented the same idea...
That's basically comma on steroids 
After a great hack day, with the last NixCon attendees still hanging out in @cbase and across Berlin, NixCon 2024 is now really coming to an end. It was wonderful to see so many new and familiar faces.
NixCon after party at @cbase is chill. Just a little more hacking in space, the night is long..

Amazing talk on https://clan.lol/ by @mic92 and Kenji Berthold at #nixcon. I'm especially excited to see an effort towards a unified interface for backups and monitoring for #NixOS services. Getting this functionality working well out of the box for services in nixpkgs could move NixOS to a whole new level.
