60 Years Ago, The Most Sneakily Influential Sci-Fi Series Ever Ended With A Whimper—Inverse

Darker (literally) and edgier than Twilight Zone but inconsistent with monster-of-the-week emphasis on shrinking budgets. My favorite episodes: The Sixth Finger and Demon with a Glass Hand.

The Outer Limits is my personal favourite of the various late 50s/early 60s US TV anthology series.

Second Chance, The Children of Spider County and Moonstone are pretty fair episodes.

The special effects are cheesy in this series but the ideas and the writing are excellent. Good clever well thought-out TV sci-fi.
