I’ve seen all of Star Trek: The Next Generation several times already, but this time I’m paying special attention to Patrick Stewart’s performance and am completely in awe. The depth that he brings to Captain Picard can be breathtaking. Every pose, every movement, every gesture is fully motivated and completely believable. Every emotion rings true. What a remarkable actor. #STTNG #StarTrek
At least in this scene, maybe even from ST:TNG on, the writers of #StarTrek conceived of the Klingon Empire as a metaphor for the USA.
In my opinion. YMMV
Star Trek: Nemesis (2002), dir. Stuart Baird.
The last installment of TNG movie series tries to rescue the franchise from the disappointing Insurrection. It's considered the worst of the Trek movies. However, it has good moments like Deanna and Riker's wedding, the destruction of the Enterprise-E, and the surprising Death of Data. (+)
Watched the Bynars episode of TNG the other night. I love the fact that when Riker asks them what kinds of upgrades they did to the holodeck, they just kind of shrug and say "enhancements" like it's the Starfleet equivalent of "bug fixes and performance improvements."
While Riker endulges in some holoporn, an alien race of non-binaries hijack the D in order to save their homeworld. But when Picard drops into the Holodeck and ruins the mood, both Riker and Picard are held hostage by a Real Doll.

Hmmmm... While watching #STTNG tonight and thinking about #DEI, I remembered a meme I saw years ago. Found it! (And yeah, even more relevant...)
