And.. after three hours of using my truck to power the house, it's now time to charge the truck back up from mains - and also to charge my colleague's EV.

I think we might be pulling a lot of power from the grid.

Side note: As @TechConnectify showcased when doing a weekend "power the home" experiment, EV battery packs are MASSIVE and can run a 'normal' home for days without an issue.

My home is not a normal home, because we have a sever room that runs while I'm at work, and we also have a fairly large house (and it was cold last night). We rely on electricity for all our heating and power.

To give you an idea of how much more power we use, our sever room in a single day can consume about 40 kWh of power alone. So yeah, we consume more than normal people do.

My Truck's battery went from 95% to about 75% in three hours, but that was with literally everything powered on that we'd normally use for an average morning. If we had an actual power cut, we'd be using FAR LESS than we did.
